Under Construction – Fat Louie
Personally, I am taken by the production quality and heavy Lo-Fi sampling of the tracks in this piece; especially “All I Need“, but I’ll also like to give credit to Mr. Fat for the powerful deliveries in his raps. While portraying a somewhat old-school sequence to his lyricism and flow, he infuses a lot of modernized, and yet matured composition like you would notice in the likes of a Casper Nyovest, or Sarkodie. This project also demonstrates a phonographic diversity in its collections as it spans across a range of genres, for example, a mid-tempo pop such as “Tema-Down Low (Remix)“, a funky “Closer” and an afrobeat “Soke“, while primarily encoded as a Hip-Hop selection.
Well known as Fat Louie, he is a Graduate of IBN TOFAIL UNIVERSITY kenitra Morocco. Where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and french studies. He started out as a great rap lover and with the influence of close friends from Zambia and Malawi he wrote his first bars in 2012, he was a member of a group called TROIs STYLOS (3 Pens) for a year. Despite his academic schedule he still found time to hone his rapping skills dropping singles now and then, which he considered as practice rap.
Fast forward to 2018 he decided to drop his Under Construction EP as an experiment to see if he got better over the years with the help of his Louieville family.
Overall, I would say Under Construction is highly worth the listen. Enjoy!
